Born in Paris into a working-class family, Marcel Paul would live a life shaped by extreme hardship and fierce conviction. A French trade unionist and communist politician, he survived the horrors of Nazi concentration camps and returned to serve in the French parliament, dedicating his remaining years to honoring the memory of those who did not survive and fighting for workers' rights.
