In Rome, Titus Flavius Domitianus was born, the younger son of the future Emperor Vespasian. He would become the last ruler of the Flavian dynasty, reigning as emperor for fifteen years. His rule combined administrative competence with increasing autocracy and paranoia, culminating in his assassination in 96 AD and the Senate's condemnation of his memory.
